Introduction to Health Informatics
BHIS 460 / Credit Course

Introduction to information technology and systems in a healthcare setting; collection, analysis and management of healthcare data; storage, retrieval, and networking; system security. Credit is not given for BHIS 460 if the student has credit for NUSC 218 or IPHS 420. Taught online with some essential classroom lectures. Students must have an active UIC NetID with valid password and access to a computer and the Internet.
