BHIS 511 / Credit Course

This course allows students to experience a variety of healthcare applications utilizing current information technology and systems implemented in healthcare provider organizations. Students are expected and required to attend computer training laboratory sessions in the UICMC, times to be arranged with training department personnel. Students will be working in UICMC and are required to comply with security, patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.

Prerequisite: BHIS 510 or consent of the instructor. Registration restriction(s): Certification of completion of netlearning HIPAA training module is required for admission to this course.
