e-Government Certificate Local, state and federal governments have identified technology management, particularly in e-Government solutions, as an important management skill. Applicants for executive positions in many agencies must exhibit competency in technology management by remaining up-to-date on technological developments; that they make effective use of technology to achieve results; and that they can ensure access to and protect the security of technology systems. UIC’s e-Government online certificate program is taught by experienced faculty and practitioners and is designed to provide the e-Government training public administrators need to advance in the workplace.
