Master of Health Professions Education The Master of Health Professions Education (MHPE) program recruits health professionals in educational leadership positions, or those who are interested in moving into such positions and who seek formal training in education and management. The cross-section of health professionals in the MHPE program (physicians, nurses, dentists, pharmacists, allied health professionals) provides a broad base of experiences in educational issues and interprofessional cooperation. Upon completion of the MHPE degree, the student will have knowledge and skills in educational planning and evaluation, instructional design and assessment and in leadership and management of educational programs involving health care systems. MHPE students are encouraged to use their home institutions as a laboratory for the practical application of educational and leadership concepts. Students who are not interested in the online format may complete the program on campus during intensive summer sessions. |
