Returned Check Policy
In accordance with the University's policy, External Education will assess a $25 fee for each check, electronic or paper, returned by the bank for any reason.
External Education will not accept e-checks or any paper personal checks as payment after a check, paper or electronic and regardless of the issuer, was posted to that account then returned for any reason by the bank. Future payments must be made by money order, cashier's check, credit card or cash.
Some courses and programs have discounts available. Please visit the individual program pages for more information.
If insufficient enrollment or other conditions require canceling a course or program, registrants will be notified as soon as possible and fees will be refunded. Changes in program content, instructor or scheduling are at times necessary. Participants will be notified of any changes in scheduling.
External Education reserves the right, without prior notification to participants, to make whatever changes are deemed necessary for the effective operation of courses and seminars.
The courses, seminars and workshops offered by External Education are non-credit offerings and do not include a formal admissions process. Offered for non-credit, External Education offerings will not appear on your transcript, nor will credit hours be awarded towards the completion of a degree program. Grades will not be issued. Some of the online courses are evaluated on a "pass/fail" basis according to participation points.

Registering for an Online, Blended or Tech-Enhanced Course
Anyone registering for or currently enrolled in either an online or tech-enhanced course must have a NetID (also known as a username) to access course content through Blackboard. Before a NetID can be provided a UIN must be generated.
A University Identification Number (UIN) is a unique set of nine randomly generated numbers that the University uses to identify people in its computer and record systems. You need a UIN for activities like obtaining a NetID, registering for classes and paying tuition.
